Ellerton Breaks Four-Minute Mile in Indianapolis
Indianapolis, Indiana, July 16, 2010

Sudbury native, Andrew Ellerton, continued his comeback from injury this week, by breaking the four-minute mile in a meet in Indianapolis, Indiana. Ellerton displayed an impressive kick by bursting from the back of the pack on the backstretch and taking the lead with 150m to go. He won the race by almost 15 metres, with a time of 3:58. 85.

Ellerton, who retains his hometown affiliation with Track North Athletic Club, but trains with coach Wynn Gmitroski out of Victoria, B.C., competes next at the the Harry Jerome Classic, on July 5th in Burnaby BC, and the Victoria International on July 7th.
