Track North Athletic Club's Andrew Ellerton and Ross Proudfoot are both ranked #1 in Canada following their outstanding performances this past weekend.
Ellerton,28, competing in the 800m event at the USATF High Performance Meet at Occidental College in California, finshed with a time of 1 minute 46.39 seconds. This placed him 9th overall in the competition but will rank him number one in Canada when the updated Athletics Canada rankings are released later today. A video of his race is at:
Proudfoot, 18, competing in the open men's 1500m event at the Windsor Open ran a four second personal best finishing 4th in a time 3 minutes, 46.70 seconds. This time ranks Proudfoot number one in Canada for Junior (19 and under) aged athletes.
